Health & Fitness Disclaimer
Effective: 7 October 2026 · Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. General information only
Content on the Promise Fitness website or community — including discussions about exercise, activity, food, hydration, sleep, recovery, habits and challenges — is provided for general informational, motivational and community purposes. It should not be treated as medical, dietetic, physiotherapy, psychological or other professional healthcare advice.
2. Know your own circumstances
People differ in age, health, fitness, mobility, experience and medical history. An activity that is appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another. Choose promises and activities that are realistic for you. If you have a medical condition, injury, concerning symptoms, are pregnant, are returning to exercise after significant inactivity, take medication that may affect exercise, or are otherwise uncertain, seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before beginning or materially changing an exercise or wellness programme.
3. Stop when something feels wrong
Do not ignore pain, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, chest pain, severe dizziness or other concerning symptoms for the sake of completing a promise, streak or challenge. Stop the activity and seek appropriate medical attention. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
4. No guaranteed outcomes
Fitness and health outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. Promise Fitness does not guarantee weight loss, muscle gain, improved medical markers, athletic performance, injury prevention or any other particular result. Our tagline, “We’ll help get you PromiseFit™.”, describes our aim to provide accountability and encouragement; it is not a guarantee of a medical, health or performance outcome.
5. PromiseFit™ is not a medical certification
PromiseFit™ is a Promise Fitness accountability concept centred on consistency and keeping an appropriate personal commitment. It is not a clinical assessment, medical clearance, professional fitness certification or statement that a person is free from disease or injury.
6. Community content
Members may share personal experiences, recipes, routines, opinions and suggestions. Those contributions are the views or experiences of individual participants unless we clearly state otherwise. Do not assume another member is a qualified professional. Verify information and seek professional advice when your circumstances require it.
7. Nutrition and healthy living
Healthy Living discussions are intended for general lifestyle support. They are not personalised nutrition or dietetic services. Dietary needs can be affected by allergies, medical conditions, medication, pregnancy, age and other factors. Obtain qualified advice where appropriate and do not follow a community suggestion that conflicts with professional advice given for your circumstances.
8. Challenges
Community challenges are optional. Adapt, pause or decline a challenge if it is not appropriate for you. A challenge is never more important than your safety. Promise Fitness encourages personal progress rather than unsafe competition.
9. Assumption of ordinary activity risk
Physical activity carries inherent risks, including injury. By voluntarily choosing an activity, you accept responsibility for assessing whether it is appropriate for you and for taking reasonable safety precautions. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Questions
Questions about this disclaimer may be sent to Email Promise Fitness. For personal medical questions, please contact an appropriately qualified healthcare professional rather than Promise Fitness.
